Intermittent periods of rain will persist through much of the weekend as a low pressure system develops just south of the area late Saturday and into Sunday. This will result in another period of steady rain with perhaps some changeover to snow in inland areas to the north and west. As the low pressure develops and moves to the northeast, winds will pick up late Saturday and into Sunday with gusts up to 35 to 40 mph.
