Strong Canadian high pressure will gradually build towards the Tri-State Region today, and over the area tonight and Saturday. This will produce fair but cold weather through the period. High temperatures will be about 10 degrees below average today, and around 5 degrees below average on Saturday. Temperatures tonight will fall into the single digits in some of the outlying areas, with teens and 20s elsewhere.
