A line of showers and thunderstorms with locally strong winds was approaching from the west early this evening. The line will move from west to east across eastern Pennsylvania, northeastern Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM.
Locally damaging winds are expected. Strong wind gusts may take down some trees and utility wires. Power outages are possible. Secure light weight outdoor objects such as trash cans, outdoor furniture and holiday decorations. Remain indoors as the storms pass through our region.
Windy and much colder by daybreak Friday with temperatures falling into the 30s and 40s.
Colder conditions through the weekend, then temperatures moderate some Tuesday into Wednesday before some cooling again for the end of next week. A period of dry weather anticipated, with only Tuesday and Tuesday night having a chance for some showers.
